James Torres is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He has more than 25 years of experience as a financial professional, educating and serving federal employees in multiple states in both English and Spanish. Over the years, James has held a variety of upper-level corporate positions. His robust knowledge and experience make him a wonderful asset to the Federal Retirement Experts family. With his many years in multiple facets of the finance industry, he has gained insight into various financial strategies. With it, he plans to teach clients the most efficient ways to reach their financial goals through retirement planning, tax planning, social security planning, estate planning, long-term care, debt elimination/reduction and more.

Jim’s goal in life is to build lasting, quality relationships with his clients while helping them achieve their financial goals and objectives. He combines personal service and leadership skills with the Federal Retirement Experts' network to provide a cornerstone of service and strategy. 

As a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) as well as the Federation of Federal Employee Benefit Advocacy (FFEBA), James has gained extensive knowledge and experience in federal employee benefits and he enjoys sharing that knowledge with others. 

James and wife, Maria, reside in Southeast Florida and have five children and six grandchildren. James is a highly active community leader serving in various community programs to feed veterans and the poor, volunteers at his church in the Benevolence Ministry where he offers free financial education and guidance and serves with domestic and international missions.
